New Blog: Unfinished

//New Blog: Unfinished

I beat myself up … a lot. I would never talk to anyone the way I speak to myself sometimes. Ask me what my best qualities are and it would take me a long time to compile a list. We do that by taking those destructive thoughts captive, and making them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

    Sometimes we beat ourselves up to beat others to the punch. In humility it is good to listen to criticism as iron sharpens iron, but if the criticism leaves you feeling defeated without hope then it really isn’t the kind of sharpening you need to have.

    Most people aren’t able to get past their own jealousy, insecurities, or biases to give us constructive criticism. Those voices you just to need to let bounce off you, don’t even listen to them. And, if you do get down from them then tell yourself your awesome. You are a part of God. God loves you and thinks your awesome and that’s all that matters. You are an over comer!
